As an Attorney at The Law Office of Kathleen M. Toombs, Michael Boyle works with individuals and businesses on a variety of matters in both transactional and litigation practice areas. Mike believes in a client-centric approach to navigating legal issues, hand-tailoring solutions and strategies to best address his clients’ needs.
Prior to joining The Law Office of Kathleen M. Toombs, Mike was an associate at an international law firm, focusing on business litigation and transactions, as well as corporate and consumer bankruptcy. Additionally, Mike was in-house counsel for a property management company with real estate and assets located along the Eastern Seaboard.
Mike is President of the Capital Region Bankruptcy Bar Association and Secretary of the Schenectady County Bar Association. He also serves as the Associate Justice of the Village of Scotia, NY. Mike speaks regularly on business and bankruptcy issues around the Capital Region and has been selected annually as a SuperLawyers “Rising Star” since 2016.
Mike is a capital region native and graduate of Christian Brothers Academy. He received his B.A., cum laude, from Loyola University Maryland, double-majoring in Philosophy and Communications. Mike earned his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, with a concentration in intellectual property law. Prior to attending law school, Mike taught English at an international university in Bangkok, Thailand.
In his free time, Mike enjoys live music, home renovation projects, and travel. He lives with his family in Glenville, New York.
