Kathleen M. Toombs
Kathleen M. Toombs is an Attorney with more than twenty-five years’ experience, primarily in the areas of Elder Law, including Health Care Proxies, Powers of Attorney, Guardianships, Real Estate, Wills, Trusts and Decedent’s Estate Administration. A core value that Ms. Toombs brings to her practice is a commitment to personal service and compassion for the individual and families she works with. Ms. Toombs has been self-employed since 2007.
Ms. Toombs is a member of the New York State and Schenectady County Bar Associations. She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and Wealth Counsel.
Ms. Toombs received her Juris Doctorate (cum laude) from Albany Law School of Union University in 1998, with a concentration in the fields of Family and Elder Law, and received the honor of membership in the Justinian Society and Government Law Center Award. She received her B.A from University at Albany, State University of New York (1995), and her A.A. from Schenectady County Community College (1994) where she has been honored as one of their “top 50” graduates. While completing her education, Ms. Toombs worked at law firms and held several clerkships in the public sectors.
